COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT
(CSBG)-Emergency
assistance may be provided to individuals who meet poverty
guidelines. Crisis
services may include food, medical assistance, housing assistance,
utility bills, or clothing.
An Emergency Food Pantry is located in each county to assist
eligible individuals with nutritional needs.
Assistance with employment services are arranged for adults
or youth to improve economic conditions of clients to alleviate
causes and conditions of poverty.
Grants to improve educational self-sufficiency may include
financial assistance with books, tuition, or GED services contingent
on level of need. Qualified
applicants may also be referred to Weatherization Program for
assistance.
