Reasonable-Modifications-Requests-Website-2021Licking Valley Community Action operates a comprehensive transportation services that provides non-emergency medical transportation throughout the region and to medical facilities in Kentucky and Ohio. In addition, LVCAP provides public transportation, Title III-B Elderly Transportation and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation services. Riders with a medical card may have their trip cost subsidized or paid completely.

Human Services Transportation Delivery

Human Services Transportation Delivery- provides transportation services to the eligible clients in Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason and Robertson counties.

Riders who want to schedule transportation services should contact us during our normal office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am – 1:00pm local time. All trips not considered “urgent care” must be scheduled 72 hours in advance After hours paging is available, including Sundays and State Holidays, for immediate or “urgent care” transportation.

Public Transportation

Public transit trips must be scheduled 72 hours in advance. Public Transportation services are provided Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 6 pm. There is a fare for all public transportation.

 

If needed language assistance is provided at no cost.

 

Passenger Rules and Regulations

Riders much provide exact change only, as the drivers do not carry change.

  • Must be identified by program eligibility
  • Shall have proper identification
  • Is not under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs
  • Is ready 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup
  • Shall abide by signs in the vehicle (e.g. no smoking, no food, etc.)
  • Shall wear a seat belt and children shall abide by child restraint seat belt requirements
  • Shall not hold children in laps
  • Is responsible for personal items
  • Shall call 72 hours in advance for transport, if possible
  • Shall cancel the trip as soon as possible but no less than 24 hours in advance
  • Shall give all pertinent information needed to the transportation provider such as attendant requirements, special needs (e.g. wheelchair service)
