Originally part of the War on Poverty, Licking Valley Community Action Program was founded in 1965 to alleviate poverty, empower low-income families to succeed, and make our community and region stronger. Since those early days, the agency has grown in service offerings, capacity, and performance. With about 100 staff and 6 locations throughout the five-county area that includes Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason and Robertson counties, LVCAP is an important part of the fabric of the region.
Licking Valley Community Action Program provides low-income families with developmental, supportive, access, and financial assistance services that foster dignity, responsibility, and opportunity and lead toward self-reliance.
